Job Description
1) This Scientist will work in the Cell Technology Group with specific focus on multiple animal/human cell lines, optimize cell handling procedures like attachment, contamination etc and troubleshoot.
2) Implementation of innovative strategies involving cell systems such as relevant co cultures, transient or stable inducible cell systems, maintenance of tissue sections etc.
3) Identification of critical readouts for morphological, phenotypic and functional characterization of cells.
4) Planning and optimization of diverse cell solutions.
5) To ensure that process planning and flow are streamlined to successfully meet cell delivery timelines to multiple divisions with the company.
Candidate Profile
M.Sc./M.Tech/M.Phil. in Biotechnology/Cell Biology/ Biochemistry/Life Sciences/Biology or related discipline with 2+years of relevant experience in an academic setting or in industry with primary cells/cell lines/cocultures/tissue sections and is conversant with cell-based assays.

Research Associate / Research Scientist: Cell Biology
Education: MSc. in cell biology, immunology, pharmacology, biochemistry, or a related area with a minimum of two years of hands-on LABORATORY experience.
Experience and Skills (preferred):
Mammalian cell culture (Tissue culture)
Perform cell based assays such as proliferation, apoptosis, internalization, adhesion and invasion . Maintain cell lines, develop and run cell-based assays.
Interpret and report data to the drug discovery teams, maintain accurate laboratory records (SOPs) and input appropriate data into databases.
Experience with blood work (Hematology) and working with radioisotopes is required.
